Day 1: Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Safari
After breakfast you will set off from Kampala on the southern bound road, have a stop over to look at the Royal Drum makers, through volcanic formations of the western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth national Park. Queen Elizabeth is host to a large variety and volume of wildlife. It boasts one o the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park in the world, from the open Savannah to Rain forest, dense swamps and beautiful crater lakes to the vastness of Lake Edward. The trip passes through the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals. Primates in the park include Chimps, Black and white Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology (FB)
Day 2: Chimp tracking and launch cruise
After breakfast take an excursion to the Kyambura gorge for a thrilling excursion of chimp tracking. Alternatively go for a nature walk in the Maramagambo Forest where you can climb through tropical forest and catch a glimpse of a variety of primates, including chimpanzees, the bat colony and the blue lake. After lunch take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel where different animals such as hippos, elephants, buffaloes, and an array of water birds can be seen. Return for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology.
Day 3: Game drive and depart for Lake Mburo
After an early breakfast, you will take a game drive later transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy an afternoon boat trip along the Lake Mburo. Dinner and overnight at Mantana tented camp or Rwonyo camp.
Day 4: Mburo – Kampala
After breakfast, head for a game drive to the lakeshore track and with its own system of game trails and cleared walkways; the "Kigambara Loop" offers interesting guided lakeside walks. Bird watchers will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found in Lake Mburo including Papyrus Gonoleks, Brown-faced Lapwings. Carruther's Cisticolas, the extraordinary White winged Warbler and Bare-Faced Go-away bird. Drive back to Kampala having lunch enroute, arriving early evening.
