This 5 day Uganda chimpanzee primate Involves
From Kampala we will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. After lunch in Mbarara we carry on to the southwest and head for the Western Rift Valley. Upon arrival in the park you might spot the first wildlife, like waterbucks and warthogs, before arriving at your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge/Jacana safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology Hostel.
The day begins early as we go for a morning game drive and head for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We look for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural link between Lake Edward and Lake George. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari Lodge/ Institute of Ecology Hostel.
After breakfast take a walk through the Maramagambo Forest, known for the Blue Lake and the Bat and Hunters Cave. The same walk will provide you with views of different bird species, primates and trees. After this activity we will leave Queen Elizabeth National Park and drive to Fort Portal, situated at the foot of the Mountains of the Moon and to the dense forest of Kibale National Park. Kibale Forest National Park holds a reputation of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys and many others. After lunch we will go for the Bigodi Swamp Walk, an initiative of the local community. Dinner and overnight at the bandas of Primate Lodge Kibale/ Luxury tents of primate Lodge Kibale.
Have breakfast at leisure then drive back to Kampala where we will arrive in the afternoon.
