Bwindi Impenetrable national Park Information
Introduction
Located in Uganda's south-western region , Bwindi is a true rain forest at the junction of the plain and mountain forests, spreading across valleys and over a range steep ridges t forming Albertine Rift Valley eastern edge.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is one of the most biologically rich forests in Africa, due largely to its altitude which ranges from between 1,160 and 2,607m above sea level and its antiquity. With an average rainfall of 1,500mm, it's a vital water catchment area, making it a source of five big rivers, flowing into Lake Albert.

Kibale Forest National Park Information
Introduction
Located right at the foothills of Mountain Rwenzori in western Uganda, Kibale forest national park occupies an area of 795 sq kilometers. Kidepo Valley National Park
Introduction
Kidepo Valley National park located in Uganda's north - eastern region, is about 700km from the capital Kampala and is nestled between Uganda's border and Kenya with Sudan. Lake Mburo National Park
Introduction
This is the closest game park to Kampala city centrally located in a series of swamp-fringed lakes which provide a great habitat for birdlife, notably the secretive African finfoot. Lake Mburo national park is a well developed Acacia woodland harboring great a large species of birds. It has a great number of savannah species of birds and is the only place in Uganda to view the typical savannah bird species.

Mgahinga Gorilla National park
Introductory Information
Mgahinga national park comprises part of the Virunga mountain Volcanoes and straddles the borders of Uganda, Congo and Rwanda. This is the smallest national game park in Uganda shrouded by tropical rain forests which provides a habitat for mountain gorillas and protects the mountain gorillas that are found in the Virunga straddling the borders of Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda and is a good starting point for those doing a Uganda and Rwanda combined itinerary.

Mountain Elgon National park
Introductory Information
Mountain Elgon national park is found in Uganda's district of Mbale in Eastern Uganda and covers an area of 1,145 sq Km. Its name is from an extinct volcanic mountain that straddles the border of Kenya and Uganda; Mountain Elgon, with its highest peak in Uganda. Its peaks are Wagagai ( the highest ), Kiongo, Mubiyi and Jackson's summit. The park has a lot to offer;

Murchison Falls National park
Information
Located in north western Uganda, Murchison falls national park is 90km from the town of Masindi. Of all the national parks in Uganda, Murchison falls national is the largest. It is comprised of a diversity of untamed African savannah and is one of the most loved tourist destinations in Uganda by tourists. Its name derives from, Murchison falls, which is a spectacular fall flowing through a narrow gorge and bursting forth into great thunderous volumes of water. Mountain Rwenzori National Park
Information
Located in Uganda's western region covering an area of 998 sq Km on the border of Uganda and Republic of Congo. Rwenzori national park gets its name from the Rwenzori mountains popularly known as the "Mountains of the moons". With an elevation of 5,109 sq. km, mountain Rwenzori is one of the tallest in Africa. The mountain has 6 great peaks namely; Stanley, Speke, Baker etc. Margherita is the highest peak and is part ot the Mt Stanley complex at 5,109 m above sea level making it the third highest peak in Africa.

Semliki National park Information
Introduction
Gazetted on oct. 1993, Semliki National Park is one of Uganda's most recent national parks. Its flat and gently undulating landscape ranges from 670 to 760 metres above level. The game park has great numbers of bird species and predominantly those endemic to Central Africa including great numbers of primates. Trackng chimpanzees can also be done here.
