Akagera Birding Safaris

The Akagera as a conservation area has probably the longest bird species lists in Africa with over 525 record bird species. The Akagera national park whose name is derived from the meandering River Akagera is composed of mainly lakes and swamps thus providing a habitat for a great number of wildlife.

Bird At Nyungwe Forest Reserve

One of the leading safari attractions in Rwanda is Nyungwe Forest which is comparable to Kibale forest in Uganda. Nyunge forest is mainly montane rainforest and is one of Africa's largest with superb scenic views. The leading attractions are birding safaris, chiimpanzee tracking and large white and blacke Angolan colobus monkeys. This is truely a birders paradise.
