This 3 day Rwanda gorilla trekking Safari Involves
After breakfast, leave Kampala driving southwards to reach Ruhengeri in Rwanda. The drive takes you through the Ankole region, which is full of typical Ankole cattle, coffee plantations and the different vegetations of Uganda, up to the terraced and cultivated hills of the Kigezi region, best known as "the Switzerland of Africa". Kisoro is located at the foothills of Muhavura volcano at the borders between Uganda, Congo and Rwanda. Proceed beyond the border and reach Ruhengeri in Rwanda in time for dinner. Overnight stay at Gorilla's Nest lodge.
Early morning, you will departure for gorilla tracking, a life time experience. After the briefing from the authorities of the park, set off for the trekking into the rain tropical forest to track the habituated gorilla family. Make sure you carry with you packed lunch and water. After tracking, get back to the hotel and proceed to Kisoro. Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel or Arcadia Cottages on Lake Bunyonyi.
After breakfast drive back to Kampala having lunch en route.
